I have been using blender.  It has both a "blender internal" renderer
(scanline??) and a "yafray" (ray-tacing??) rendering engine.

Q: Would either of the IRTC or TC-RTC have an objection to the use of the
"blender internal" engine?   If either do, could someone unpack for me the
aesthetics, ethics, or  politics behind the distinction between scanline and
ray-tracing?
